The Latest Bridal Trends in 2019

In 2017 and 2018 couples were venturing away from formal weddings. As expected, some brides stayed with tradition and had church or chapel weddings, but the trend was rustic barn weddings, vineyard weddings, and outdoor events.

Designs selections for 2019 are going back to formal wear. Bridesmaids are wearing formal gowns and groomsmen are dressed for a black tie event. In this article, we will show you the types of gowns that are being selected for the weddings of the new year.

The royal wedding of Meghan Markle has had a direct effect on the bridal industry. The brides of 2019 are selecting dresses fit for a princess. This includes tiaras, full skirts, and long sleeves of lace on transparent fabric. One difference we should note is the necklines. The trending necklines for the coming year vary from one extreme to the other. Some brides have opted for very deep plunging necklines, and others are wearing the very high neck Victorian neckline. Both styles feature long sleeves of beautiful lace. Brides are wearing white or diamond white. if you looking for affordable and beautiful collections of bridal gowns, check out K1003806 V Neck Long Sleeves Ivory lace Light Blue Tulle Wedding Dress Bridal Gown 31

What should you wear to a gala event? You are safe selecting a gown in the same style as the bridesmaids of 2019. Bridesmaid’s are wearing floor-length gowns of beautiful fabric like chiffon, silk, or velvet. The deep colors of 2019 are edging pastels out of the picture. The colors of the season are burgundy, deep red, navy, and black. These colors and styles are perfect for any formal event. Brides are also selecting deep teal, dusty rose, and plum. The bridesmaids gowns are understated. They are sexy without being too revealing.

In 2017 and 2018, very large bouquets with a large amount of greenery were the style. The flowers were mostly light and pastel hues, but all eyes were on the greenery. To create the large bouquets, flowers that were fully bloomed with baby’s breath filling in the gaps were the style.  2019 is stepping away for the overstated bouquet and going back to traditional, romantic, and sophisticated arrangements.

Pastels are out for the bouquet. Instead, white and deep red are in demand. There is still a bit of greenery, but not nearly as much as last year. Baby’s breath will only be used as an accent. While flower tiaras are out, you will see a lot of floral combs, anklets, and bracelets.

The use of floral architecture is not unusual for any wedding. People have long decorated archways with flowers. However, this year you will find more floral statement pieces and fewer centerpieces. Flower walls will return. Instead of the photo booths we were using last year, people will take advantage of the flower walls for taking their own photographs. They also make a beautiful backdrop for photographs of the bride and groom during the reception. To add warmth and romance reception halls will see more candlelight housed in crystal candle holders.

The wedding cape is still popular and will remain so this year. Fall and winter weddings will find bride wearing capes with faux fur trim. Bridesmaids may wear faux fur wraps around the shoulders.

Bridesmaids are wearing floral combs in their hair, small tiaras, or nothing at all. Brides are wearing tiaras that are a bit larger with plenty of jewels and veils. Cathedral length trains are trending.
